Foil Stamped Ice Cream Cone Sleeves UK Luxury Finish for Premium Brands
How Foil Stamping Works
Foil stamping uses heat and pressure to transfer a thin metallic or pigmented film from a carrier roll onto the sleeve surface. A shaped die — machined to the exact shape of the area to be foiled — is pressed onto the sleeve with the foil between them. The heat activates an adhesive layer, bonding the foil permanently to the paper. The result is a precise metallic element — typically a logo, a border, or a key design feature — with sharp edges and a mirror-like finish that cannot be achieved by any other printing method.Foil Colour Options
| Foil Type | Appearance | Best Matched With |
| Gold foil | Warm, classic metallic gold | Dark backgrounds, luxury brands |
| Silver foil | Cool, clean metallic silver | White or dark backgrounds, modern brands |
| Copper foil | Warm, trendy rose-gold tone | Craft, artisan, wedding aesthetics |
| Holographic foil | Rainbow metallic, shifts in light | Fun brands, seasonal specials |
| Matt gold foil | Soft satin gold, less reflective | Ultra-premium, understated luxury |
| Matt silver foil | Satin silver, refined look | Minimalist premium brands |
| Custom colour foil | Pigmented foil in specific colours | Brand-specific colour matching |
Design Considerations for Foil Stamping
- Foil works best on solid shapes — logos, icons, borders, and text with clear edges
- Very fine detail (thin lines under 0.5mm) may not foil accurately — simplify where needed
- Foil on dark backgrounds (black, navy, dark green) is particularly striking
- Foil on kraft paper creates a beautiful artisan-luxury aesthetic
- Combining foil with matte lamination produces maximum contrast and impact
